Belgian Waffle Table with Graphic

This is a sweet little table that has already been delivered to it's new home.  I wanted to share it with you because I was happy with the way it turned out.  I was at the paint store looking for another color and I decided to pick this one up also.  The base paint was called Belgian Waffle and I liked the name and the color, so I thought I would give it a try.  I mixed up my own chalk paint.  I painted it,  distressed it a little and then antiqued it.

I found this graphic from The Graphics Fairy and transferred it to the table.   I sanded the top a little to give it an aged look. The table top had a crack in it and I liked how the graphic highlighted it.  The final step was waxing it.   I hope you have enjoyed your weekend.

Snowglobes and Ornaments

The last few weeks have been busy working on Christmas cards and doing some photo editing for Live, Laugh, Love Photography.  I have been doing snowglobe and ornament photos.  I love working in Photoshop and am continually amazed at what it can do.

I hope you are enjoying the holiday season.

SelmaRose Finds a Home

The week after Thanksgiving was an exciting time for me as I was able to open a space in a local antique store.  I now have a spot in Lavon's Timeless Treasures in Henderson Tennessee. I have always enjoyed going in to the shop and am glad to now call it home for SelmaRose Vintage.  I still have so much work to do, but I am really enjoying working on it.  Be sure to stop by if you are in the area.

Christmas Tree and Mantle

Christmas 2012

It has been a really busy week, so I am thankful today to be able to say that we have our Christmas tree up and most of the decorations are out.  We got the tree in and the decorations down from the attic on Friday night, but I wasn't up to finishing the tree.  When I woke up Saturday morning it looked like a Christmas shop had exploded in our living room.  I am always glad to have the decorating finished and be able to enjoy it.
My husband and oldest daughter went and picked out the tree on Friday afternoon while I was at work.  I think they did a great job.  It is a beautiful tree. It makes the house smell so Christmasy.  Hope your decorating is going well and you are enjoying the season.
