This is my project for today. I hope since the weather is about to warm up I will be motivated to work on a few new projects. This is a piece I was asked to do to hang over a little girls daybed. I had some reclaimed flooring and I attached three of the pieces together and painted a base coat in an off-white. I painted both front and back. After it had dried for a few days, I cut out the letters out of vinyl on my Sizzix Eclipse. It takes a little measuring to get the spacing just right. The sign was too big to get more than one word per page. I had to divide Sunshine into two pages. I then painted a couple of coats with different colors. It doesn't show up very well in the photo, but there are two colors used. I then distressed it so you could see both colors and the wood in some places. I then waxed it. I will update with a photo in it's new home when I can get one. Hope it is a sunny day wherever you are.
