The Magic of Santa

I love Photoshop and do Christmas cards, Birthday invitations and some editing for   Live, Laugh, Love Photography.  We have been working on some things for Christmas lately and I just had to share these.  I only added the "magic" to them, (so I can't take any credit) but I think they are so precious.  The girls are so sweet and Santa is just amazing.

Thanks for visiting!

Music Cabinet

I bought this music cabinet a few months ago.  I had seen it one Saturday and didn' buy it.  I went back the next week and it was still there, so I bought it. I loved the graphic on the front and didn't want to cover it up.  The veneer was partially missing on the top.  I removed the veneer off of the top only.  The glue was very hard to remove and I never could remove all of it even with a sander.  The cabinet had a red cast to it and didn't match the door.  I decided to paint all of it except for the door.  I used a brown paint that I usually mix with glaze for antiquing.  I think it is a great color.  I did a little distressing after I painted it and then used a wax on it.  I am very happy with the results. It makes me happy every time I look at it.  I love the door graphic.  Hope you are having a great fall weekend.

Costumer's Ad Chair in Tricycle

I picked up three chairs a few weeks ago and have been looking forward to working on them.  There were two like this one and then one with arms on it.  I had picked up samples of Miss Mustard Seed paint and thought I would use the samples on the chairs.  This beautiful color is called Tricycle.  The picture doesn't do it justice.  It is a beautiful color.  After it was dry, I waxes it with clear wax.  I went back after it was dry and antiqued it.  I was happy with the finish.

For the chair I used a Graphics Fairy image and transferred it like I have shown in previous post.  I love this old ad for a costumer. It is a beauty.  It is transferred on drop cloth fabric.  I can't wait to get started on the next one.  Happy Monday!

Vanity Bench

This is the bench I have been working on to go with the vanity.  I should say I bought it to go with the vanity.  After working on it, I may look for something else for the vanity and sell it by itself.  I picked up a few sample sizes of Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint last weekend.  I couldn't wait to try it out.  This color is called Kitchen Scale. I loved working with the paint. It was so easy to distress.  I loved the finished look.  I have been painting a chair with her red, called tricycle, today.  I think it is going to be a great color.  I will post the photos soon.

This is the aerial view or the bench.  I used the same technique I used for the kitchen towel in my last post to transfer the graphic on to the fabric.  This is another great French Typography graphic from the Graphics Fairy. You can find it here.   I plan on working on some fall pillows in the same style after I finish the chair.  Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Thanks for checking it out!
